I have FINALLY gotten sober and I owe it all to Schaumburg Interventions.

Honestly, before coming to this clinic I was a hot mess. Dr. V and Dr. S totally turned my world around. I’ve been at the clinic for over a year now and it has made such a positive impact on my life. It’s not always easy and there is some tough love along the way but it’s worth it. Dr. V & Dr. S ‘s empathy and compassion really help guide me and bring me to a better quality of life. Don’t know what I’d do without them. I started at a different clinic and they didn’t care about the patients. I went three months without even meeting my counselor. Here they will be with you every step of the way.

I would like to start off by saying that I do not usually write on-line reviews. I had however, come across some reviews on here that were negative and felt that I needed to clarify some things, and also share my positive experience with Schaumburg Interventions. I think the problem is that unhappy patients are quick to go online and write a negative review, but the patients that are happy and content often don't write online reviews. I have been a patient at Schaumburg Interventions for quite awhile and have been very pleased. Thanks to them, I have come a long way since the day I started. They really care about their patients, and try very hard to get us back on the right path. Upon joining the clinic you are provided with copies of their rules, and also what their fees are for all of their services. Therefore, at no time should there be any surprises about any charges since they do provide that upfront. They have rules and policies in place just like almost all places of business do. They care about the safety of everyone inside the clinic and therefore will not tolerate a patient becoming disruptive or making any threats. Dr. Velasco is there every day for dosing, and I take that as a sign of how much she cares about her patients and the clinic. How many of us can see a doctor as often as up to 6 times a week. She is very knowledgeable in the area of substance abuse, treatment, and recovery. If a patient does have any questions or complaints they are open to hearing what they are, and also coming up with a way to rectify whatever the situation may be. I am very thankful for Dr. Velasco and the staff at Schaumburg Interventions for helping me turn my life around in a positive direction, and for all the knowledge and support they have given me. I feel that finding a good clinic is key to a successful recovery, and that is exactly what Schaumburg Interventions is!

Dr Fe is a hard working, honest, Dr. A family member, Ron, runs the office. At first I developed mixed feelings for these people, especially Ron. But the truth is they are running a business, not a charity......'Don't like it? haul ass, is their apparent way of looking at it; this is partly cultural. True, they put up with no B.S, and why should they? Every recovering addict in Chicago knows what it's like dealing with this kind of a group. Bottom line is that you are treated at Interventions in the same way you treat them. It seems that the biggest complaint is the fact that Dr Fe generally does not start directly on time. Hmm, a Dr not being on time...and this surprises people why? I have been going to the clinic for four years.....Dr Fe and Ron are decent folks doing their jobs. I have no complaints.
